Description

A high profile consumer goods organisation is now seeking a Global Insights Manager to initiate and lead major insights projects across key strategic brands. This is a 12-month contract position and offers an excellent salary and package.

Key Responsibilities

·           Lead global research and insight projects, using best in class methodologies and agencies for key brands. (e.g. Packaging, Positioning, Consumer Understanding, Innovation, Advocacy, Advertising & Portfolio)

·           End to end project and stakeholder management – delivering inspiring briefs, clear KPI’s and actionable implications to the marketing team.

·         Lead the Consumer Targeting workstream, continuing to define and evolve our global and local market understanding of key consumer and influencer groups through best in class insight and visualisation.

·         Manage the global advertising development research programme.

·         Manage the Trends programme which brings to life in an impactful and regular way the most critical trends that are shaping consumer attitudes, motivations and behaviours towards our category.

·         Support the Consumer Insight Director and team to deliver on the Consumer Centricity vision & programme to create a consumer obsessed culture and way of working;

o    Create and run inspiring, educational and engaging workshops and training sessions.

o    Manage and integrate new consumer centric tools & platforms to capture, distil and diffuse insight across the business.

·         Excellent project management skill with demonstrated ability to manage multiple (& complex) projects across teams, stakeholders and geographies.

·         Personable, with the ability to build relationships across all functions and levels of the organisation.

·         Excellent team player with the ability to work on their own initiative

·         Entrepreneurial thinker and creative problem solver - able to develop agile and innovative insight solutions to address business needs.

·         Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate and diffuse insights in a compelling and impactful way.

·         Excellent presentation skills.

·         Good analytical skills and the ability to prepare and present insights outcomes and implications across different management levels.

 

Qualifications and Experience:

·         Bachelors Degree + in relevant marketing, businessor related discipline.

·         Minimum 7-10 years in a consumer research/consumer insight or strategic planning role on client &/or agency side.

·         Excellent understanding and application of qualitative research methodologies plus a good working knowledge of quantitative. 

·         Consumer based strategy development skills and strong ability to translate consumer insights into marketing/business implications.

·         Experience in Consumer Targeting /Profiling & Advertising Development.

·         International experience a strong advantage.

·         FMCG or consumer goods experience a major advantage
